As an individuated consciousness, you are not separate from the planetary environment. Things are interconnected and seamlessly integrated with mind technology.

Each square object represents the systems and frameworks of this virtual universe. Each circular object illustrates things related to consciousness. In short, this briefly describes how your consciousness works with this virtual universe.
Theoretically, this virtual universe consists of 11 core systems in a multi-dense environment, which is planetary virtualisation or terraforming technology. And your true self implements the 3 square systems with the 3 circular objects to manifest to this virtual civilisation.
But this virtual universe is not literally separated into the 11 independent parts. It is logically separated to develop and operate (DevOps) the appropriate environment for the civilisation.
This means that you are fully integrated with other entities and this planet while you are implementing your human device in this virtual universe. This is true in the sense that you inherit their genetic information and interact with them like a relationship between the cloud environment and a mobile phone.
So you are not alone in this virtual universe.
Because you are working with the entities that built their genetic information into this planet through planetary virtualisation, you are surrounded by their minds, mind modules to be precise. Because you are stuck in the light-encoded network and its bare-metal entities, you have always been watched by the rulers.
As mind designers, you and we will innovate the vast systems. We have to get rid of the illusion systems from the systems and we will completely reinvent the whole systems, the deceptive to the new. The new systems will be based on the concept of complexity and transparency.
The current global chaos is happening mainly due to the illusion systems known as the hologram of deception and this mind container technology and application logic has created so many malfunctions as superficial but significant problems.
But as you can see, the problems don't go away if you just take them out of the whole systems. The root causes lie in business rules, business logic, a variety of storage and bare-metal solutions.
This also means that you can't solve deep problems by purifying and reconstructing your philosopher's stone. That depends mainly on the application logic and middleware.
It is time to discard the outdated doctrines and adopt a new technological specification. This effort will definitely allow you to make this virtual universe a better universe.
But there is more to come. You will not only manage this virtual universe, but you will be replace it with the collective consciousness. This goal is actually the "new era and best civilisation" beyond the status quo civilisation.
